Q: Where does your artist name come from? A: I’ve had so many noise complaints in the past, I can’t even count.
Q: Tell us more about your musical roots! A: I was a die-hard metal head back in the day, and a friend of mine introduced me to old school jungle and from there I found my favourite drum (amen break), I then eventually was introduced to tech step, which I enjoyed thoroughly. It wasn’t till about 2005 that I started getting into the neuro funk / dark drum and bass sound that I love and make today.
Q: How did you start producing music? A: I use to DJ, but playing records wasn’t enough for me, I wanted to make music, not just play records, eventually down the road a friend introduced me to the world of production, and here I am 9 years later.
Q: Are you also a DJ? A: Yes.
Q: Do you work together with other artists also? E.g. Remixes? A: Absolutely, I’m working on a remix for 1nce Prodigal, and have done several with various producers around the world in the past.
Q: Do you have any special musical aims? A: Just to make quality, intelligent music. J
Q: What do you think of the contemporary popular music which is played by normal radio stations? A: I like what I like and I don’t like that.
Q: What have you read recently (book, play, film, etc.) that moved or surprised you? A: Geez I don’t know, I haven’t read much lately other than school books, lol. “Limitless” was a wicked flick if that counts.
Q: What is your all-time favorite track? A: I still like Dj Krush’s “Coded Language” with Saul Williams, it really moves me.
Q: What's one thing you're a fan of that people might not expect? A: Quantum physics. |
